Sylvia V. Dooley

Sylvia V. Dooley is vice president and corporate secretary of Consolidated Edison, Inc., and its principal subsidiary, Consolidated Edison Company of New York, the energy company serving the 9 million people of New York City and Westchester. Ms. Dooley is responsible for corporate compliance and oversight of fiscal and business matters, board and shareholder relationships, and documentation, reporting, and development of the companies' corporate structure. Also, as vice president of Corporate Transactions, she oversees a team of lawyers working on matters such as Mergers & Acquisitions, Supply Chain contracts, Corporate Finance, and Real Estate.

Prior to this position, Ms. Dooley was an assistant general counsel in the Law Department. She joined the company in 1988 and has worked in several areas of Con Edison’s Law Department from Real Estate to Labor and Corporate Finance. Most recently, she served as a senior member of the commercial transactions group. Ms. Dooley has over 30 years of experience.

Ms. Dooley graduated from St. John’s University Law School. Additionally, she is also a graduate of Con Edison’s Business Academy XX.

Ms. Dooley is on the Board of the Third Street Music School Settlement and a member of the Society for Corporate Governance, and the Stockholder Relations Society of New York.
